About Our Bathroom Vanities Service
A bathroom is the most demanding room in the house for cabinetry. Humidity swings, splashing, heat from styling tools and daily opening all attack a carcass that was never built for it. We construct vanities from moisture-stable panels with fully sealed edges and catalysed finishes, so doors stay flat and finishes stay sound years after a big-box unit would have swollen at the toe kick.
Every vanity is drawn to the room. We field-measure the wall, locate the waste stack and supply lines, check door swings, window sills, radiators and tile setting-out, then size the piece so reveals are even and the top lands where it should. Drawer boxes are notched around plumbing rather than blocked by it, which is where most of the usable storage in a vanity is normally lost.
The material palette runs from painted poplar and white oak to walnut, fluted fronts, matte lacquer and fenix surfaces, paired with quartz, porcelain or natural stone tops we template and fit ourselves. Hardware, integrated lighting, backlit mirrors, hidden outlets for hairdryers and electric toothbrushes and soft-close mechanics are all specified as part of the same drawing set.
Michigan homeowners come to us for bathrooms because we are already building their kitchens and closets. Running one finish family through the kitchen, primary bath, powder room and mudroom is what makes a house read as designed rather than renovated in stages — and commissioning them together is usually more efficient than ordering room by room.
Our Bathroom Vanities Process
Four clear stages, from the first conversation to the final walkthrough — so you always know what happens next.
- Step 1
Consultation and measure
We visit the bathroom or review your renovation drawings, note plumbing positions and discuss how the room is used morning and night. Budget range and finish direction are agreed in this first meeting. You leave knowing what is realistic in the space.
- Step 2
Design and selections
You receive a dimensioned drawing and 3D view of the vanity in the room, along with real finish and stone samples to see in your own light. Storage layout, lighting and outlet positions are resolved at this stage. Revisions continue until the drawing is right.
- Step 3
Fabrication and templating
The cabinetry is built to the approved drawings while we coordinate with your plumber and tiler on timing. Once the base is set, the countertop is templated to the installed piece rather than to a paper dimension. That is what keeps the stone joints tight.
- Step 4
Installation and handover
Our craftsmen scribe the vanity to the wall, set the top, fit hardware, mirrors and lighting, and hand back to the plumber for final connections. We check every drawer and door before we leave. Finish care guidance and warranty paperwork close the job.

Bathroom Vanities — Frequently Asked Questions
Can a custom vanity match my kitchen cabinetry?
Yes, and it is one of the most common requests we get. We can repeat the exact wood species, lacquer colour, edge profile and hardware family used in your kitchen, or choose a complementary finish that still reads as part of the same house. Because both are built by us, the match is genuine rather than approximate.
Do you supply the countertop, sink and mirrors too?
We template, supply and fit quartz, porcelain and natural stone tops as part of the vanity package, and we can specify backlit mirrors, integrated lighting and concealed outlets in the same drawing set. Sinks and taps are coordinated with your plumber so nothing arrives that will not fit the cabinet. You deal with one team for the whole assembly.
How long does a custom bathroom vanity take?
Most vanities move from approved design to installation in a matter of weeks, much faster than a full kitchen. Stone templating adds a short window after the base cabinet is set, since the top is measured off the installed piece. We schedule around your plumber and tiler so the bathroom is not out of use longer than it needs to be.
